Mexico City - Mexico
The main challenge of this project was to redistribute spaces, to create a more open apartment with a feeling of spaciousness, while we wanted to make it an apartment with a contemporary and fresh air.
The project has 3 rooms, Family, Living room, Dining room and Kitchen. The selection of materials is based on a fresh and avant-garde trend, but cozy at the same time.
In terms of decoration, the selection of design objects was overriding, the configuration of the room with the Thataway angular armchair by Blu dot, and the Feel Good bench in sand-colored leather by Flexform / Piso 18.
The rugs are from the Chema Balmaceda Studio time capsule collection.
The main accent is the Deep Thoughts leather chaise in olive green leather by Blu Dot, as well as the spectacular and different decorative lamps from the Babu and Calypso collection by Contardi lighting by Diez Company.
In the dining area we have a linear and clean environment, with a wooden dining table from Taracea Furniture that harmonizes with the lambrin (covering) that we have in the background together with the taupe dining chairs from Piso 18.
Another surprise or central element within the project is the kitchen, since it is at the entrance of the apartment with a central bar in black eternal Marquina marble with more than 3 meters long, which can be made into an independent space with sliding doors.
In addition, another important space is the Master Bedroom where we can see the Dorian Glossy Light mirror / lamp as an accent of the Contardi brand by Diez Company, as well as the buro saarinen tables with Pablo’s Bola table style lamps.
As the final touch and common thread of design throughout the project is the art, curated by the Arroniz Gallery, where we have pieces by artists such as Jan Hendrix, Alberto Lezaca, Fernando Carabajal, AgustÃn Gonzalez, Nicola Lopez, Omar Barquet, among others.
The project sums up the ability to reinvent ourselves, to achieve a harmonious and balanced result in all of its forms.
