Mexico City - Mexico
The main challenge of this project was to combine the 4 main colors: black, gray, white and blue as per the client’s request. My participation consisted of the design and interior design project, as well as some material decisions in the architectural field, together with the Architect Patricio García Muriel.
The inspiration behind this 12 month project was about the client’s necessity and expectation, using and re-inventing the four main colors in each space and in each room so that it turns into a cozy place.
From the architectural project we can highlight the use of materials such as: different types of stone, marble, wood, in dark tones, always watching our color palette.
The project has 6 bedrooms, living room, dining room, family room, kitchen, bar, terrace and a children’s playroom. The selection of materials is based on the textile trends for this year.
Regarding the decorative theme, the selection of design objects was primary, such as: The spectacular stair lamp made to measure by Italamp of crystal and Swarovski from the Grapeflut collection
The dining room also has a spectacular pendant lamp from the Globo collection custom configured by Baroncelli World, along with two matching flying buttresses in the living room from the Otto Collection of the same brand, as well as the iconic black wallpaper from Ralph Lauren Home Collection .
Another surprise element within the project is the Ganesh at the main entrance where it is possible to see a place of Zen landscaping.
In addition, the rugs are special designs made for the project by Chema Balmaceda Studio.
At the bar we can see the fabrics from the Kelly Wrestler collection in black and blue, along with the Narcizo pendant from Penta Light, which is an icon of the brand.
The terrace favors white outdoor furniture with decorative cushions in fabrics from the latest Casamance outdoor collections and above all highlights the Bover Barcelona Lights collections that illuminate, and are our decorative accent throughout the terrace and garden.
The project summarizes my vision as a designer to create environments that respond to specific needs using design items mixed with personal objects of my clients. And the result is a home rather than just a house.
